New Extended Primary Care Access Service
From the 1st October 2022, Little Lever patients can now access more GP, Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments in the evening or at the weekend from our local Extended Access Primary Care site at Tonge Fold Health Centre. Please be aware that this is not a walk-in service – you must have an appointment.
This service offers appointments outside of normal practice hours. We have appointments available for a range of clinicians: GPs, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. All appointments have to be booked in advance.
- Practice Nurses appointments are available for most reviews, smears, swabs, pill checks, blood test and some injections such as B12, Depo, Prostap and Zoladex - patients have to take the injections with them to the appointment. Please note only injections that are non-refrigerated can be done at this service.
- Health Care Assistants appointments are available for health checks, bp checks, blood tests and a few other reviews.
To book an appointment for this service, please contact the practice on 01204 462988. When you book an appointment, the practice will ask you for your consent to share your detailed GP record with the clinician providing the care.

It's Good to Talk
Age UK and the NHS is encouraging older people to seek help for mental health issues through talking therapies.
One in five people over 65 suffer from depression or anxiety, but older people are less likely to get the help they need for their mental health than the rest of the population.
